Unique Gifts...
John Phillip Sousa's "Stars & Stripes Forever" is a family favorite of ours. My three sisters played it as a piano
trio (yes, six hands at one piano!) back in the early '70s, and the Compton Heights Concert Band of St. Louis,
Missouri, of which my oldest sister has been a member, playing flute and piccolo for many years, plays it in their
outdoor concerts in the park during the summer (if you're ever in the area you should check them out! It's a
great way to spend an evening!). I wanted to make my sister something special, so I had the first line of music
digitized, stitched a flute over it and added the text "Stars & Stripes Forever!" She loves it!

newest project is to keep my favorite comfy old jeans around as long as possible! I've been embroidering designs
over the thin, worn areas. Right now I've got three "patches" and the fourth will be stitched soon!
